The Disney Peter Pan cartoon film is from 1953. Captain Blood (Errol Flynn) is from 1935.

Of course, Mr. Flynn was a bit more of a pirate in his real life than most cruisers ever dream (or nightmare) about.

Peter Pan the play was first staged in 1904 although the character first appeared in the little white bird in 1902. For what it’s worth which isn’t much.
