Taking the plunge... First live aboard / first boat

Having a lot of fun reading through the flotsam hilarious...!

If all goes to plan I will be making the move to live aboard in the coming year, I would do it right now but the wife and kids need organising e.t.c. I've read a lot about the actual living on a boat at Verizon's price points, shoe strings / flip flops e.t.c.

But what about the actual act of doing it selling up the land and moving on board, what pushed you over the edge?

For me it was working hard to better my life but at some point I forgot about the better life and was just working.

As an introduction I'm a Brit but have been moving my whole life, currently in the US.
