Taking the plunge

Nice to see this forum! I've been meaning to wander thru all these postings, but it will have to wait until things settle down. We own a Catalina 30 in the Pamlico Sound in North Carolina. Our family is selling everything and heading up the East Coast next month. We're scared but excited, as you can imagine. If you have any resources for liveaboard kids and homeschooling, I'd be interested. I'm sure I'll scavenge the money-saving ideas sections as well...
Our travel blog is SeaWanderer | Our family website aboard our sailboat, Nimbus.. Cheers! Deb

Aloha Deb,
Welcome aboard! I'd be interested to hear how your family does on a 30 footer or are you going to go bigger?
Kind regards,
JohnL

Try ABEKA for homeschooling supplies. Great variety of books for all ages. Conrgats on leaving, where to? and how long are you planning on being gone?

Hey there!

Thanks for the well wishes. We'll have to stick with our 30-footer since that is all we have and we're CHEAP. How do you think we can make this journey? LOL Sure we'd like bigger, but oh well.
Our meager funds "should" hold out until the holidays. We plan to head up the East Coast until it gets too cold and come back down to NC. But perhaps we'll find somewhere we don't want to leave, who knows. Perhaps we'll find jobs we like, who knows. There's a Plan A, Plan B, etc.
Fair winds to you all,
Deb and clan
