Re: OK - cheer me up!

Those are great pictures! Mine is one of hope - testing my new DIY mast raising system. I'll continue working on her while in self-isolation mode, but hoping it won't be too long before I can put her in the water for the first time, and make sure she actually floats! Bought her last fall.

...and my favorite of all time, admittedly from 3 years ago. My view waking up from a night sleeping in the cockpit.

OK I'll play ... Haida Gwaii last Summer.

I got sent a picture of my boat recently from the boat in the neighbouring slip ... that's about as close as I'm going to get at the moment ... at least she's still floating.

We tried to make it to Haida Gwaii last summer, our heat exchanger had other ideas...

Your pictures make me really want to go. Thx.

You're not playing the game ... You don't get to reply to this thread without adding another of your favourite pics ... I need cheering up too!

I'll keep a look out for that big beautiful ketch sailing past on its way north.

Does it have to be a photo, how about a bit of light entertainment from You Tube, all very English

Oh Dear, Pete7, didn't take this thread very long to go well off topic.

Reminds me of HR addys many years ago that said their boats were ideal for cottaging...

Meanwhile... offshore Peru.. October last year...

Nice. Here's one in a similar vein offshore US east coast last year.

Oops. Sideways. Now how do I fix that?

Fun, here's a few ones that stir my memory from our trip around the northern peninsula of Newfoundland last season.

Re: OK - cheer me up!

One of my favorites from last summer. Making the turn from the East River into the Harlem River with Manhattan in the background. Bright and early on a beautiful day as well. Just before 7 AM on a Sunday.

The second and third pictures are in a fight for second place. The sunrise was taken the same day as the first picture, but about an hour earlier, a bit before 6 AM while heading down Long Island Sound with the sunrise behind us. The third picture was another early morning, around 6 AM. Taken at Schenectady Yacht Club on the Erie Canal while getting ready to depart with glassy smooth water and a little bit of morning mist over it.
