How much does a man cost to run?

OK, so in 2001 I went for an interview at a school which paid a much better salary than the one I was then working at. The Headteacher asked:

"So, why do you want to come and work here?"

I replied: "Well, the salary's better. My last school enabled me to buy my husband a yacht, but now he wants a bigger one." I got the job. And I managed to buy HWMO a bigger yacht. Bloody hell these men are expensive hobbies.

On the bright side, I don't have to pay a carpenter to put my shelves up any more. And he unblocks the head for free.

Any more reflections on the costliness of men to run?

The one's you want don't come with a price tag or a for sale sign. They might come with a " for sail " sign however.

Maybe, but not counting a bank repo the 410 I got was the lowest prieced one listed in the world

But I'm happy to pull "it" and it doesn't need a bell. See how great I am?

OK, how about frugal instead of cheap? Who really wants to be "cheap" anyway?

Re: How much does a man cost to run?

Yacht - $150,000 (I'll take a used one for less if this breaks out into a negotiation)
Car - $50,000 (I'll take a used one for less if this breaks out into a negotiation. I"m willing to do totally without in support of item No. 1)
Groceries $500.00 monthly (Ok, I love a good rib eye but I'll take less if this breaks out into a negotiation.)
Clothes - $10.00 monthly for fresh bathing suit (Hate clothes but I'll spend more if this breaks out into a negotiation.)
Various hygenic type things $25.00 monthly (I'm guessing ya want my teeth brushed, hair combed at least every other day and cut every now and then, some sort of anti stinky juice applied liberally daily. Guess I could spend more if this breaks out into a negotiation)
Rum $140.00 per month (I'll spend less if this breaks out into a negotiation but part of the deal is you stay slim and do a little "self maintenance" also.)
Dinghy Gas $10.00 monthly (I'll spend more if you need more trips to shore. Personally I don't see what the big deal about land is though.)
Boat up-keep and new toys $1000.00 per month (I'm willing to spend more if this comes up for negotiation)
Evenings playing my guitar, watching sunsets and enjoying life - priceless (But I'll spend more if this comes up for negotiation.)
If I left off anything I'm sure my wife will chime in.....
