Re: How much does a man cost to run?

Well, only took 18 days to come up with this thread

I guess the delay is the time it took the CF women to think of it, to telephone each other to discuss what colour the thread should be, to organise a group hug, cry on each others' shoulders ............and then phone their mothers

Zee,
I think I've got ya beat there.
Living on an island without any marine stores, if I need stainless, or any other boaty bits for a project, it's "Island Recycling" or do without.
It's basically a yard where they cut up cars, recycle construction debris etc.
It's kinda like the dump when I was a kid back in the '50's.

Yes! I can say that is a good one.

But seeing that I'm my own bread winner and never had any support from a rich lady... I live in a home that will never be seen on TV. Because I'm Poor & Unknown, not Rich & Famous. Hey that means that I will never be bothered by the paparazzis

Re: How much does a man cost to run?

Meh, men are pretty simple beasts. They're born with one finger up their nose and the other hand on their winkle and pretty much the only change is they get taller. Your average man is just a tall child ... with beer.

Women, on the other hand are impossible to understand. For a start, why do they put up with men??

Re: How much does a man cost to run?

Men are like any other machine ;-).

Say like a diesel engine.

Probably at their cheapest, in the short term, if left unused. But if you want yours to last, then use properly it and pay the costs.

Re: How much does a man cost to run?

I'll have to admit, I have an eye for nice things, but I am too frugal to buy them......although..........I have been known to justify a purchase or two by saying something like "Well, I saved four hundred dollars by fixing it myself", of course the thing I bought probably cost several times that!

David, old chap, may I suggest hauling anchor and finding a very remote anchorage quickly before they come for you .... In terms of expenses, it isn't how much you paid, but how happy you are with the result. How much does it cost to run X? How much have you got?
