Help identify please

Hello all! New to cruisers forum, and boats. I got this boat the other day. I was only told it was a 1974 20' boat. He only remembered the town he bought it and the harbor it was stored. There is no hin anywhere and can't find this boat anywhere. Any info. Type, make, model, year, really anything would be helpful. Going to DMV soon but it's a half day trip so need to plan. Thanks for looking.

Welcome aboard CF, PolarPaw.

It would be helpful if you gave us some information about your location, especially your country. There are a lot of boats made worldwide!

Assuming the boat is licensed / registered somewhere, the existing paperwork may hold some useful information.

California registration numbers. I bet they can tell you something, but will want some paperwork from the owner of record.

And it is old enough to be kinda cool... for a motorboat

Just in a generic sort of way I'd assume it to be some sort of Glasspar when seen in passing.

What an utterly naive comment!

Don't you know these guys that don't disclose their location are fugitives on the run?

Actually my immediate reaction it was a Chivers Thunderbird made right here in West Australia.

If the OP is on the run, I reckon they will need a faster boat.

Re: Help identify please

There can’t be that many boats with a basketball hoop on them. That should narrow your search.

Re: Help identify please

Have you done a google (image) search? In Australia we would call that boat a Half Cabin boat.

If you haven't maybe do a search (image) on Half Cabin boat 20ft. See if you can identify the boat among all the images. If you can click on the image to see what it is.

Re: Help identify please

What does CMH stand for?
https://www.google.com/search?sa=X&h...w=1024&bih=626

"MEKP curing agent is not just that. There are many types, some of which make for less heat, less shrinkage, etc. (and some even are not even MEKP but AAP, CMH, or mixtures)

The curing of the first layer seems to be very important for preventing print, so leave that layer to cure for several hours, and make sure it is a resin that cures thoroughly. (does create a bonding problem, however...)

Re: Help identify please

I've been using Google lens on different parts of her, I'm compiling a list of boat manufacturers Pre 1980. Hopefully I'll find something before my DMV trip. I've searched half cabin's, cuddy cabin's, cruisers. The only thing I found was "boats are beautiful ❤️"

If you found "boats are beautiful" you surely aren't doing a google (IMAGE) search?

If I do a google (IMAGE) search on "half cabin 20ft boat" in Australia I get:
