Re: Tipping Bareboat Charter Company Staff

She is taxed buy gov.on total bill. Gratuity is never included. It's not what she reports , the employer reports it.

Think about this. Your bill is 300 bucks. She is taxed 24 dollars right off the bat. She makes 12 an hour. No tip left , it cost her 24 buck to serve you.
Then she is also taxed on the tips to boot.
You really need to rethink your math. Wait staff are not taxed on the total food bill to their customers. They are taxed on their base income and an estimate (likely low) of their tip income. Their tax rate is based on their income minus exemptions and deductions. If her effective tax rate is 7% and her estimated tip income is $24 then the tax totals $1.68.

You mean all those “bums” who make their income via the stock market where capital gains are taxed at around 50% of those who generate income via employment — you know, normal workers?

Relax guys . Let's get back to the original question of the op.
And by bums , I'm talking welfare , terminal unemployment, food stamps, free cell phones . Why work when it's all available for free. Those bums.
