We are in Houston Texas right now and leaving next week for the East Coast. Going to Beaufort, SC to visit friends for the hurricane season then the Bahamas after November.

Hanging out *in* the hurricane zone for hurricane season? I know a lot of people do it... but... I'm just chicken of doing that.

Been living in the bullseye for 12 years. It will be nice in SC just being in the outer rings. The old girl (boat) has chalked up 15 named storms. we have thought of putting little storm decals on the side of the boat like the fighter pilots do.

I pulled my Atomic Four and hung a 6 horse outboard on the stern.

Pondering ditching my steaming light, and rowing at night... It'll be cooler so won't sweat as much as during the day.

Working on making her a better sail boat so she'll move quick through a wide range of wind. Fair in the prop aperture, foil rudder, slick out the underbody, and flush mount some through hulls.

LOL, I like that idea. I've lived in "The Zone" all my life. I'm a regular Eddie Hurricane Rickenbacker ace. Next time another transplanter starts ranting about Hurricanes I'll just point to my decals.
