What Happened to the Goop Thread?

I read some interesting comments about how to actually use it.

Or

Was it deleted because of the flame-a-thon?

It is under discussion by the administrators at this time because of some controversy.

I guess you can not criticize a product here. I think the product was being used in the wrong way so I tried to help. Oh well.

I moved the thread as the post that started the thread appeared to be a rant about a vendor. As David stated it is currently under discussion.

Ok

All that I wanted to add was that any adhesive...except maybe crazy glue will act like a lubricant if squeezed together.

On the thread startes behalf, as an amicus curiae, I viewed the thread not so much a flame-a-thon but rather an example of frustration.

Sometimes we expect products to work. Adhesives are a sticky subject,(yes I intended that) but they all have different qualities and applications.

It is up to us to read the instructions/applications

Goop, the urethane adhesive family?

I'm confused by the eight "flavors" of it, whenever I need one, that's the one that is out of stock. I've had great results with it over many years. They'll also send out a random tiny product sample tube to anyone who asks for it, or at least they used to do this for many years. Handy to stash in the tool box, since the tubes eventually cure up solid once opened, like most great sealants.
