Tohatsu hull leak plug

I don't see this product marketed elsewhere, but it seemed to be interesting that it can plug leak from tanks and marketed that it can plug leaks from boat in case of emergency as well.
Is there any other products that is like this?

Interesting, but what liquid did it just plug? Gasoline? Water? I wonder if soaking it in seawater yields the same result?

Both gasoline and water, I suppose it would work on seawater as well as it was marketed toward boats as well.
