Zeus3 Autopilot navigation sailing to waypoint or course
I just installed a comprehensive B&G system including a Zeus3, NAC3 a Triton2 and autopilot controller. The system is functioning normally as far as I know. What I don’t understand is how to navigate to a waypoint on autopilot. I have read that the chartplotter or system has to be set as motorboat and not sail to use autopilot to a waypoint or a course. A: WHY? And B: Is this actually true? What do most of you do? Just adjust the magnetic heading to match waypoint? Thanks in advance for the feedback!
