Where can I go to get information on the best routes to take, and best time to take them for passages from and to various places. Example, CA to HI, HI to Tahiti, Tahiti to Fiji, as well as suggested places to visit for a multi-year Pacific cruise under power.

The book Stu referenced is the best for planning in small boats, along with pilot charts. If you can get an older copy of the British Admiralty route book it can be interesting reading too.
