Re: Missing 75´s.y. Lady Domina
Tore, if they were all too broke to buy distress equipment, do you think they would have been carrying a spare eight or ten thousand dollars to buy 2,000 gallons of extra fuel? And still not have the time to make a collect phone call, any of them, to say "We'll be late" ?
Possible, certainly. Improbable. Highly.

Re: Missing 75´s.y. Lady Domina
Well lets discount her being in any US island.. or the mainland...
I'm pretty sure we'd know by now if she was..
So the next is Bermuda... 900 odd miles from SMX.. her nearest fuel stop on a route for Europe... again no show or we'd know...
So that just leaves the Azores... and somewhere in between...
Why they have not shown yet is anybody's guess... engine failure and they're trying to make it under sail..
Engine failure and dismasted... even more complex but solvable... and accounts for the time overdue...
Run down... very unlucky considering the odds in that expanse.. or careless... especially with 5 on board.. but that size I can't see it not being noticed by the ship.
Sunk by storm and in a raft.. the most likely.. sorry but maybe its time to face facts..
Grain de Soliel was not found and they had a position for her...
LD's a needle in a haystack.. if you want to keep hoping then fine... I think 72 days is the record in a modern life raft..
Maybe it'll drift into a seaway on a favourable current and be spotted...
Them's the facts AIST...
a few more sailors have sailed over the horizon and beyond..
Fare well.

Crazy would be LD running down and sinking G de S... and going down as well... that would be truly crazy..

Re: Missing 75´s.y. Lady Domina
Here is our show. At minute 4, more or less we talk about Lady Domina. I am doing this from my heart, I know all the people on this board are working from their hearts. This is just darn tough. I have made my way in life by not accepting the norm, when I think I am right, pressing ahead. I have this sense these people need our help. We are asking all people in all ports from Main to South America to post a picture of the Lady Domina. I won't give up hope on these brave sailors, brave to live their dream.

A fender... and water.. somewhere...
and if they stopped a tanker for fuel in an emergency top-up at sea it would have been logged and probably reported.. though its not an easy thing to carry out is a RAS...

Looks like the whole toilet to me. But how would that float?
Yes, definitely water.... somewhere.
Coops.

Part of the wreckage from the satellite photos. Looked kind of like an overturned liferaft, but hard to tell. I guess a life raft would have been black on the bottom?

From years of clipping them on, I'd say a float of a long line. four or five bullet buoys then a float and a flyer at the end of every section.
Looks like fibre mainline. Americans use mono
Very much looks like a reflection of it not something underneath. slick calm day.
