Re: Missing 75´s.y. Lady Domina
Sooo... does the pink in the one photo go with the pink edging from the transom of the Lady Domina? If they can find a long line, why can't they find anything from the LD? We are working on theories here guys, that is why we have asked for maximum cooperation with anything you know, and photos you have, any last conversations, any connections to social media sites where we might find a photo or picture to give us a clue.
See next frame...

That is all it would take, too. One of the crew taking one photo and sending it off to twitter and wow, we have a confirmation for Puerto Rico...or someplace else. Every clue, especially social media sites, could put doubts to rest. Most of you probably never met these people. But some of you know them well. We really need your help because Tore is close to solving this. you can send to paynterlawfirm@gmail.com, thanks for the people who have sent things, you can also send to Tore. We need access to their accounts if possible, so we can analyze everything, dig deeper the solution is here.

That does not come across as sounding right.
Coops.

Re: Missing 75´s.y. Lady Domina
La Vida Nueva,
Can you please tell us your relationship to the families/boat? How did you get involved in this? It seems strange that you're kind of spamming the name of your law firm and links to your blog/radio show and stuffing the links with keywords totally unrelated to this.
The picture you posted is obviously a fender and not a liferaft. The oceans are littered with thousands of floating fenders.
All of the ridiculous speculation in this thread isn't helping nor is trying to turn this into a media event and make everyone worldwide aware of it. You don't really seem to understand water sailing">blue water sailing.

A quick peruse of Paynterlawfirm's website tells me that they have their own email addresses and do not use gmail. This post comes across as mighty suspicious and I'd advise against sending anything to that email address.
As for the social networking thing, what you're proposing makes no sense. If they're somewhere they can post to Twitter, they're safe. If they're in a bind in the middle of the ocean I doubt anyone's going to be posing for an instagram pic.

Hey guys, just so we are all on the same page, here is the link to the Sorgenfri site. You can check out all of the Grain de Soleil pics there. We don't think these are the Lady Domina, and I thought you had all seen these pics before.

Re: Missing 75´s.y. Lady Domina
The pink outlined, light blue object on LD's transom looks to me to be a dinghy, complete with it's outboard motor.

The floating things don't look related, either. To me. So that helps us rule this out. But then could the hull we have been looking at be something as small as a dingy?

Re: Missing 75´s.y. Lady Domina
Hey, I am whipped, mostly defending myself against unfair attacks. I know each of you has the families at heart. Some of us take a different approach to things. I am a media guy, so I see solutions through media, I see solutions by interviewing people. Some of you are heavy duty salt water sailors and your advice and points of view have been very helpful, in my case, educational. I feel horrible for the families and like all of us, hope they can find the truth about what happened. All of you have been great in your help, I have learned a lot myself. I think some of the families would feel good that we learn from each other. Thanks, manana

Re: Missing 75´s.y. Lady Domina
This morning I got the paddling of my life by a fellow cruiser who was furious I was a member of a Washington law firm that supposedly does consumer law suing people. He was protecting his fellow sailors from the jaws of a supposed shark. Something about @paynterlawfirm. My email address is the same name but @gmail.com. There is more than one Smith and there is more than one Paynter.
I assured the cruiser who was giving me a good working over I never never met the guy and didn't know he existed. I do poverty law helping abused women who can't afford an attorney and I do media things like putting stories like this one out in Spanish, a language we have not spoken, yet half the Caribbean speaks it.
Tonight, someone else took me back to the woodshed because I am not listed with this same Washington law firm that does consumer tort litigation suing everyone, so therefore I am not trustworthy. ahhhh o.k. whatever. I am even laughing now. (wasn't then)
I am not here as an attorney, not licensed in any other state but land locked Colorado. Unless you are female and abused you probably are not my client, either that or you can pay, which means you probably are not my client either.
I am joining other sailors who feel for these people. For me, Anders Mosteid, who answered a crew wanted ad, really hit home because I was answering crew wanted ads (for more experience), and because in speaking with Anders dad I could see my dad speaking to me. RIP. I was pretty hot about the double accusation and then thought, you can't win this. So I am not going to try.
For those interested, let's get back to seeking solutions, and wishing the families the best. I can imagine how my dad would have felt if I had disappeared in the Gulf of Mexico and I can imagine how these families feel. That keeps me working towards solutions. I bet most of you sailors feel the same way.
