I.C.W. Current Depth Update

We came up the I.C.W. from Jacksonville to Norfolk in 2011 and only touched bottom a few times. With an air draft of about 60' and a full keel of 6' what can we expect in these days of 2021. Hope to hear from those that have ACTUALLY done this recently so we can plan for any needed 'outside' passages. Many thanks to one and all for any honest feedback and/or trip advice that might be helpful.

Re: I.C.W. Current Depth Update

We came north from Ft. Myers to Annapolis in late July/early August... and didn't have any huge issues. OTOH, our new draft is only 4' 3"...

Still, we just planned to go through known shallow areas -- especially in Georgia and southern South Carolina -- at mid-tide or higher.

Air draft Pungo River Bridge? The stated height during repair now underway is 50'. Has anyone been under recently that can confirm this?

Re: I.C.W. Current Depth Update

I came from Hilton Head to Ft. Pierce during Thanksgiving week. Draft 5' mast 61'. No issues. Follow the B423 track, get the USACE surveys on aquamap and you'll be fine.

There's a bridge near Jacksonville that was closed for repair for a while, better check if that is done.

Hi Yachttunes. Do you have sourcing for that 50ft limit on the Pungo? We're considering taking a boat with a 60+ airdraft through the ditch. That would definitely be a deal breaker...
Thanks
