help me identify old autopilot system/components

Hi all,
I've recently bought a Duncanson 35. A lot of the systems need attention, including I suspect the autopilot. There seems to be a autohelm antenna off the pushpit (not pictured, im guessing it might be GPS), there is a box inside marked 'GPS possition transducer - autohelm'. Then, what appears to be connected to the steering system is some motor and electrics with a chain sprocket drive, and another rusty metal box presumably with some electrics inside,

There are also separate autohelm displays for gps and depth, they power on and seem to work, but i think the location doesn't ever appear.

I can't see any means of user interface controlling the autopilot system, or work out what system is it. There looks to be some logo on the rusty box, but its nothing I recognise or can find searching the Web. Any thoughts welcome.
