I got aqua map, paid for the charts, downloaded the charts, downloaded AC data, then it worked. A bit tedious but I’m covering a large geographic area.

Just a note on Aqua Maps. The charts for Florida are great, but when I went looking at the Exumas I discovered the charts are terrible (no detail, granular). I contacted the vendor who confirmed they were not able to secure charts for the Bahamas. This is not at all clear on their site, which shows the Bahamas as being included. I requested, and got, a refund through iTunes.

So it’s back to the search for a nav app for iPad that includes AC, and has Bahamas charts, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg *garmin*.
