Tsunami in La Paz Harbor this afternoon?

Sometime this afternoon, the boats and even the floating docks were tossed around like corks for about twenty thirty seconds.
Im at Marina Cortez which is pretty exposed to the north with no sea wall.
There apparently was a pretty big almost Mag. Seven earthquake in the western Pacific earlier today.
Low SW SE winds today to nearly calm. Other than than that short period of long period swells, few waves at all at the marina due to its generally western southern protection.
Any other unusual reports on the west coasts of the Americas?

Re: Tsunami in La Paz Harbor this afternoon?

iff there were to be a tsunami mazatlan would have received warnings...we have known no tsunami warnings since 2012. musta been a whale breaching, or warning of a norther. or other issue specific to soc/goc.

Re: Tsunami in La Paz Harbor this afternoon?

1) I am unable to find a report of a Tsunami in La Paz, or anywhere

2) It would be odd to have a Tsunami in the Gulf of California.

3) La Paz might be exposed to Northern swell, but in the grand scheme of things is fairly well protected from Tsunami's.

4) Tsunami's last more than 30 seconds.
