Moorings in STT

I am interested in buying an existing mooring or putting in a new mooring in STT. Does anyone know of one for sale or which govt. agency (ugh!) I have to go through. Thanks.

STT is the airport code for St. Thomas in the USVI. But the OP needs to narrow the request down a bit more - St. John? Which part of St. Thomas is preferred (Charlotte Amalie? East end?)?

It has been a few years but a friend gave me a mooring there close to French Town. Never used it, but darn convenient to everything.
We ended up with a slip in the Lagoon, close to Red Hook on the other side of the island.
Great island and great sailing/diving except for some of the locals, my neighbor on a boat got killed with a machete by a Rasta high on dope while she was walking her dog on the beach. My boat got burglarized and a friend's dog got killed with an axe while the intruders stole his tv.
Great sailing, but I would never live there again, life is too short.
