Chain on a Drum

I have a 55# Delta on all 3/8" chain for the primary and a 45# CQR with 3/8" chain and 3/4" nylon. Used both a couple times (in Nassau and big blows). To get the CQR up I just kept tailing past the nylon onto the chain. It was kinda tough getting past the chain/nylon splice and noisy with the chain slipping a bit on the windlass, but it worked for me...

For those not familiar with gear this size, I just weighed 1 that I have here in the yard. With 1 additional link of 1 1/2" bar chain, it weighs 76 lbs.
