Aqua Dutch Inflatable

Hello
I have a 2.65m inflatable from Aqua Dutch. I cannot find them anywhere so I guess they have gone. I am after an inflatable floor for the dingy. Any one have any suggestions?? Thanks

Re: Aqua Dutch Inflatable

make one out of 3/8" plywood. Can divide it in thirds athwartships, make "hinges" out of webbing, so can store it beneath double berth when not in use.

Inflatable floors are extremely vulnerable to fuel spills, and sometimes their quilting fails leading to huge hernias.

The wood "floor", sealed with epoxy, then primed, then painted and with non-skid will work fine for a long time. Might have to replace the hinges when they sun-rot. Ours, we used wee short counter sunk screws to attach the hinges to the timber.

Also, "starboard" might work. I have never used it myself, though.

I suppose you might find another inflatable floor for some other brand of same-size dinghy, but so many small differences between dinghies, don't know if that approach will work.

Another benefit to changing to plywood will be more depth inside the dinghy.

Re: Aqua Dutch Inflatable

We have an AquaDutch dinghy that we keep as a spare. I believe they are indeed gone from business. This spring, at the Maine Boatbuilders show we saw a Chinese made dinghy (can't remember the name, sorry) that had to be made from the AquaDutch tooling. Every detail seemed exact! If I needed a floor I'd look for them again and check out the floor...
