ID:	158245No real progress to speak of, as work has been in the way and I have a customer boat to get done in my free time. I did upgrade a few tools, and hopefully they will make life a little easier. The roller is from Swag Off Road, and seems to be a good machine. That's 1-1/2"x2" .125" wall aluminum rolling the hard way in the pic. I have some 1-1/2" round steel to roll for a project, so I'll update my review once that project is underway. Also have an 8' 25 ton press brake bought....Just have to find the time to drive to Michigan to pick it up. It should make hatch lids, consoles, and the like quite a bit easier to fabricate.

Re: All Aluminum Dinghy

….a very disappointing update in a shameless attempt to improve my odds of winning a prize. A prize that I've now ordered two of.
I haven't made any progress on the dinghy, as it's been by far the busiest year of my career. We decided to put our heads down and get the work over with, so we can move on to the cruising life, at least for the winters. I have been doubling down on the fence contracting, and working up some steady growth on our material sales side, and it hasn't left much free time. We have been moving some of our real estate assets around to produce more income, and I've still been doing quite a bit of welding and fabrication in my "spare" time, all of which is going into the kitty. We are also working on getting our current boat in the best condition possible, so we can put it on the market next spring. Those of us who like aluminum boat porn don't seem to be too particular about the genre, so here is a 20' flat bottom mud boat that I've been building for a customer. Sorry it's not the dink, but the boss and I made a plan, and I'd better stick with it.(She is going to let me put a new Yamaha on it when the time comes, so I'm being good.) I melted the brain on the 350P, and replaced it with a simpler(in the budget) 252. It runs the same push/pull whip, and I would almost say that I like it better...….Until I borrowed a 350MPA. The pic of the weld is the first one out of the box, so please ignore the giant crater on the pull out. The center console is a boat that I bought to flip. I'm open to suggestions, but I'm thinking new all white upholstery, navy blue canvas, ditch the burgundy and yellow for all white, or maybe navy blue from the gunnel to the waterline? Might add a jack plate and hydraulic steering, but I'm not sure how much value that would add.
My apologies for the update that isn't an update, but it's all I've got.
