working load calculations

good day fellow cruisers, I am going to rerun some of the sheets, mainly the jib and main halyard back to the cockpit on our boat, planning on using rope clutches to hold in place when under sail. how do you calculate working loads so that I get the right strength clutches? thanks bill

Re: working load calculations

Look on the Harken website, under "Product Support". They have a few different load calculators.

Re: working load calculations

A couple of times I emailed Harkens customer service for various loads on the boat. They got back to me within a day or two with helpful info.
