Milwaukee M28 Battery

I have purchased a new Milwaukee M28 right angle drill for use to hoist sails and mast top access.
After reading the reviews and searching info on the batteries there looks like many battery quality problems. Are the cheaper units inferior with more problems.
I guess the amount that I would use it is vastly different than an electrical tradesman who post the most problems.
What is your real life experience with these.

Well, Only used it twice so far and already burned out the cheap off brand battery I bought, started smoking first time. The Milwaukee brand batteries seem to be about twice as much at $70 vs $35 for the no-name.

wow! I use Milwaukee M18 stuff(about 20 different tools) every day for work and try to keep up with what's new, and I didn't even know m28 was a thing! I know alot of people use the m18 gun for drilling 8.5" diameter holes in ice(for fishing).

Mine's an M18, did not notice title was 28.
