Installing furling jib, something's not quite right

Hello!

I'm kind of a noon, learning everyday!
I went to install (raise) the jib on a furlex 200s, everything went well , but the bottom 24" of the luff will not go in the track, because of the prefeeder part, the lower rail is obstructed, and if I remove it , I won't be able to put it back once she jib luff is in

Sorry I was unable to take a picture at the moment of install. Do I risk damaging the sail if its not completely in?Click image for larger version
