Jabsco quite flush or Need a quite bog

Hi All,

We're looking at replaying the broken Jabsco manual toilet onboard with a Quite Flush, The other half wants simpler/electric but wants it to be quite as we have a child who needs to use it during the night.

Does anyone have any experience with the Quite flush? I understand some people dont like Jabsco at all but they seem to be the only unit that is designed for quite.

We'll be running it on fresh water to help stop the smell and water pump">raw water pump sound, The fresh water pump is on the other hull of our cat so having a raw water pump for the toilet on the toilet seemed like a first good step to reducing the noise.

Cheers

Re: Jabsco quite flush or Need a quite bog

We have a Jabsco Quiet Flush freshwater electric head. Works fine, haven't discovered any major flaws in the system or design, and it's reasonably quiet. Had to replace the pump/motor assembly at around the 10 year mark, not horribly expensive, relatively easy fix (since we have easy access).

There's a Raritan unit that get's good reviews; Elegance-something-or-other. No personal experience. There's also the Vacu-Flush system, which works well enough, too, and we had one of those in our previous boat. I found the big POP when flushing the latter disconcerting, but it was otherwise quiet.

If I had to replace our current QF, I'd replace it with another identical QF.

I have a Raritan electric conversion on a jabsco bowl. The Raritan is so much better you will love it.

Vetus TMW. As soon as I have finished fitting the one I've got I will check the sound levels. They are ridiculously quiet and very good value!

If it's a Macerator type, watch out for cherry pits.😁

No matter which brand toilet you buy, getting one that flushes with water from your pressure water system will be quieter than a raw water flush. It should be less expensive as well as you're not paying for an intake pump.

Jabsco Quiet Flush or Raritan Marine Elegance would be my choices.
