Headliner

I need to replace a quad rope clutch on my Hunter 49 sailboat. There is no access panel in the headliner below. Also no obvious fasteners. Before I start prying away(could it be held up with velcro?) I thought I would ask if anyone here knows how to drop the ceiling. It's pristine and I would be very sad if I were to mess it up. Thanks in advance.
