Wash down pump problem

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I connected my deck wash hose to a nozzle on a watermaker membrane casing in order to use the water pressure to push out the end caps.

I managed to get one cap to come off the casing but the waterpump stopped pumping water at full volume. Now, the water just comes out in intermittent spurts, not fully flowing.

When I moved the supply value to the sea water setting I got salt water at full volume and pressure. When I returned the value to fresh water the flow is still just spurting, not full flow.

I'm wondering where to look and what to look for - since the salt water flow is strong I'm guessing the pump is fine. Perhaps the valve that turns supply from fresh to salt water?

Any ideas on how/where to look to find the problem?

Thanks in advance.
