I've got two Whale look alike foot pumps from the Far East, one for salt
and other fresh water
. The fresh water pump
has a house charcoal taste filter which cuts down the flow a bit compared to the salt water
with no restrictions. Still works just a little slower on the pedal rebound. They've worked fine. Only negative is a crack where a fastener passes through on one pump
but it doesn't effect performance of the pump and may been that way forever. Have had that pump for more than 10 years thought not extensive use. Just discovered it when I removed the pumps to do some work
on the galley
face frame. Like the position of the hose barbs on each side of the top instead of on top of each other on the side as the Whale.
