If you use it with water that does not come from a RO process (as in a watermaker) you may want to consider adding an an anode to protect the
heater from galvanic
corrosion. In the models I am familiar with, this requires buyingva new
heating element that can take an anode.
Newer Quick heaters come with anodes from the factory. I understand that this is to deal with
corrosion problems in boats that use hard water from shore sources.
