Re: Need a wrench for W-C Thru Hulls

I pulled my thruhulls by poking the handle of a crescent wrench into the mushroom and turning it with another crescent. No problems, but mine came out pretty easy. The yard manager said he had a special tool, but I got tired of waiting for him to find it and went ahead with my backyard mechanic approach and was done with the job before he found the "correct" tool.

Don't abuse tools, it's dangerous.

Secondly, I honestly still have no idea what the OP is trying to do. In the same paragraph, he says he doesn't want to take the through hulls out, and then that he wants to replace them with Marelon. How will he do that without taking the WC ones out first?

Final question : why replace the best seacocks in the world with inferior plastic ones?
I said leave cut -off bolts in -not the seacocks. Changing because Bronze old ones will be useless in emergency as they stick if not attended to every month and who has that time???
