domistic water hose

At thje dock I have my domistic pressure fed from the dock by a regular garden hose. If the boat sits a while not using the water The water then has a strong plastic taste My question is..... Is there a certain hose that will not cause this taste I realise the heat from the sun adds to this

Re: domistic water hose

All "garden" hoses sold in the US contain LEAD (seriously!), no matter what color they are. You need one that is specifically made for drinking water usage. An RV supply store will carry them. Walmart sells a 25' drink-safe hose (in the RV-stuff isle) for $10.

Re: domistic water hose

That is a really bad idea! The City has much more water than you have boat. If anything breaks inside you are sunk. Much better to fill your tanks and use your onboard pressure water sstem.
