110V Watermaker + Inverter?

Interested in a 12gl/h watermaker which draws 6A 110v.
Can I run this thru an inverter? How big inverter should I use?

6 * 110 = 660W

Plus the inrush to start the pump motor.

I would try a 1500W inverter.

Remember, 6A @ 110V = ~60A from your 12V batteries.

Not dumb at all. Most people are easily distracted from amps when initial price and gph is the main factor in choosing a watermaker . Don't let anyone, no matter how nice they are, tell you that choosing the right watermaker is simple. It just ain't so. Balancing ones requirements to their boats capabilities takes a bit of figuring. If you don't feel like Goldilocks when you are choosing a watermaker you aren't asking the right questions.
