Soon-to-be-mine
boat has
MD2030 sail drives that from all available records / historical info are original to the
boat. That also means that they've exceeded the 7-year rubber boot replacement interval.
I've found a few threads here about replacing the boot, but wonder how difficult a job it truly is. Yes I know the boat must be
on the hard, but is this something best hired out or can it be done by a person of average mechanical skills?
And a related question is which
repair manual is best for this unit? Manufacturer's or a Seloc / other version?
