The KBW20 is not that hard to take apart and
rebuild. The main four bearings should be (from my
rebuild log, please double check dimensions):
Input shaft: 2x SKF or similar 32007
Output shaft: 2x SKF or similar HR30208J
In my case, I had a screeching
noise from the tranny. It was a bad bearing on the input shaft, the closest one to the
engine. I did a crappy rebuild job to get me going (only changed the bad bearing, but cleaned & flushed the others), and once home, changed all the bearings, including the many needle rollers.
The
service manual for the 4JH2-TE can be found online and includes directions for the
transmission. You may need a shim-set to get that axial shaft play right. A machine shop may cut them from shim stock. You also need bearing pullers and a 'special' tool to get the nut out of the shaft coupling.
If you don't feel comfortable, with the
service manual, and the
parts, any machine shop should be able to to the job.
