Patterned, Non-Skid Gelcoat Refinishing

New to me 37 year old Taiwanese made Symbol Sundeck 40 motorboat has tired and somewhat discolored and worn, as indicated by black spots, patterned, non-skid gelcoat on the foredeck, walkways, sundeck, flybridge, sundeck roof and transom. Color is very light cream, maybe Hatteras off white. I am considering having my boat contractor roll/brush either:

1. AwlGrip Topcoat, polyester urethane base with converter and reducer.

https://www.bottompaintstore.com/awl...4-p-28219.html

2. Brushable gelcoat (like FGCI Ultra Plus Brushable Gelcoat).

I plan to color match the existing gelcoat without non-skid particles. I have the surface preparation instructions for each. Appreciate the forum's recommendation on the best application for longevity and maintainability.

far and away the best non-skid deck finish is kiwigrip

https://www.pyiinc.com/KiwiGrip/

easy to apply and it WORKS. cannot recommend too highly - would never consider anything else

cheers,

Sorry, used kiwigrip on my 1987 Hunter 31 cockpit. Never liked the result.
