This one is for dad

My dad always had powerboats one was a 1960’s 35 ft Chris craft they had this boat from 1962 until 1970 in Upstate NY. In the thousand islands area, My mom was 7 months pregnant with me and my brother was under a year old, my parents had a party on the boat, My mom went to town for more supply’s. She took my brother so he would not be in the way on a hot and humid summer’s day, My mom gets back to the slip, carrying food and my brother and sweating from the walk.

The boat is not in the slip, It is nowhere to be seen. There were about 11 people on board and my dad just figured my mom must be in the galley and started the cruise.

My cousin asked where is aunt Helen she went to town for supply’s, my dad had no idea and he got a huge surprise when he turned the boat around and got back to the dock an hour later. I from what I am told everyone laughed even my mom.
