'Thank You' Button

Silly question, I looked and looked on this tech section and even ran a search to avoid asking such a silly question but...when someone thanks us where does it go?
A friend mentioned that they sent me a thanks but I have never seen it, nor any thanks from the ungrateful lot uh er I mean CF members, (except maybe a year ago). Just wondering cause would like to send a thanks for sending a thanks, or it that pouring the honey on too thick?

If you click on User CP in the upper corner you should see the thanks you have. You should also receive a PM.

I think you have to turn on the option of getting the pm, in your user settings, or options.

If you are not seeing them on your users page look for an arrow that would open a frame on the page. It could be closed.

I've checked your settings, Erika, and you have chosen "yes" for Display Thanks and the pop-up window for when you receive a PM (such as a Thanks). You currently have received 70 Thanks.

If you are not receiving the PM notifications each time you've been thanked, then there's a bug we need to find. Click on User CP as Frank suggested and scroll down the page: the top section is Subscribed Threads, then Subscribed Social Groups, then Latest Thanks Received.

TaoJones

Edit: Okay, I see that you're dialed-in, now, but maybe others who read this can follow the directions, as well.

No, no bug Toa. I changed it as soon as you all pointed it out to me..I feel so ungrateful, all those nice folks thanking me and I didn't even know it...."thanks" for checking...

Sixty-two. Ahem. You might want to work it a bit. You've fallen behind Erika, for goodness sake.

Thanks Erica for asking, I had no idea where they kept them. Put a nice smile on my face reading a few comments.

I still have not found how to turn on the "email notice", since humility bars me from looking in this column unless notified...lol...

I did not know you could even have "Thanks" but I have now found them. Thanks for posting this Erika and thanks to everyone who sent "thanks". I've now enabled the PM feature for this.
