It's funny you mention that. Just the other day, my wife and I decided we should make sure we have all of each other's passwords ... just in case. I asked her, in the event that I move on to the next world, to at least log on to the three or four forums I regularly visit to let everyone know.

That way, you can all sigh in collective relief.

People stop posting for a large number of reasons, even those who had, at some point, been avid posters (Zeehag, MarkJ). Who knows whether someone got sick of the forum, or upset about an incident or exchange.

It wasn't an option for me. However, I did just notice that I have the option to enter my AIM screen name and Yahoo Messenger handle. Now, if only I could remember what those were.

Good idea. "We" have a shared password manager (KeepPass2) which, in theory, has all our passwords. Unfortunately my wife rarely uses it. Her passwords are all saved in her browsers. I do know how to get them, but I strongly doubt she'd think to go get mine. Fortunately, I wouldn't be missed anyway

Please consider using your own logons. Otherwise the message reads:

"I'm sorry to announce that I've passed".
