404 Error

My admiral (Enltie on this forum) has a new problem accessing the site. As the portal page begins to display, the screen suddenly goes to the 404 error.

She access other sites without problem. Our computers are in the same room attached to the same router and cable modem. She does run an older version of Windows and Explorer than I do.

Has anything changed on the site that might cause this anomaly?

George

Sorry to hear she is having trouble. Have her try deleting her temporary internet files and cookies and then try again. Report back here if there are continued problems.

We still get some funny results, but have her back on the site.
Thanks,
George

I got the same funny problem. My onboard PC has Linux Ubuntu mounted with Mozilla Firefox. After few attempts, somehow, I was able to log onto the forum.
Somebody knows what's the buzz?

Every time I’ve tried to log-in today, I get an “Error 404 – Not Found” notice, after the Cruisers Forum home page lights up.. I’m unable to back out, and have to shut down Firefox to escape the Error message.
When I’m quick enough to click on “New Posts”, before the Error comes up, I get “in”.
This happens on both my “home” & “work” computers.
Any ideas?

It might be a server problem in your area. Everything is fine over here.

Having the same problem here in Houston. Takes maybe five or six tries and I have to be quick enough to click on any link for the page to hold.

Happening to me in Annapolis on a Comcast connection. Going to www.cruisersforum.com redirects to 404. www.cruisersforum.com/forums/ works fine.

I restarted the web servers. Please keep an eye out for the same behavior and let me know if it's still going on so I can dig deeper.

Thanks for the feedback.
