Please try deleting your temporary internet files and cookies and see if that helps.

Anytime I try to log in with cookies enabled, I'm thrown for a 404 detour; turn disable cookies, and I'm okay.

It's still happening to me too but if you click on any stored link with any extension past the '.com" it opens to that page then you can navigate back to the home page.

re: 404 error

I was getting the same problem: Had the site for an instant and then it switched to 404 error. I noticed that my bookmark/favorites was posting a URL with some strange elements at the end. I typed in http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/ and got in with no problems. Resaved it as a favorite and it works!

I got the same 404 problem just a few moments ago, did a few redirects and made it. Don't understand why, but glad to know it is not just associated with my computer.

I think the issue is related to the profiles that are pulled up when we log in. When I unchecked the box "remember me" at the log in screen and went to the page as a guest, I was able to access the page easily. But not when the system attempted to log me in automatically.

Same thing here, suddenly its all happy again. I did clean up some cookies, but I -really- doubt that could cause this.

I am getting the 404 error. I cleared the cache and so forth and it worked for a few minutes... and then it reverted back to the 404 on Firefox. Then I tried IE. As soon as I put my name and password in a it logged on... the 404 error emerged.

There is something about the user profile which is causing the error.

Can someone shoot me an email and tell me how to fix this problem. M y Firefox always gets the 404 error even when I try to enter the site without a safe name or password. I managed to get in on IE, but that two develops the same error.

Bottom line, I find it too diffucult to visit the site.

Everyone that is having the problem, does it happen if you go directly to the forum? If not that would be the best bet right now. I have still not been able to consistently reproduce this enough to come close to figuring out a cause.

It is happening to me when I go directly to the forum (recent posts). The page begins to load correctly and then right at the very end of the load it goes to the error. If I stop the load just before it ends, everything works well.

I have deleted cookies, cleared caches, etc to no avail.

Firefox 2.0.0.9 on Windows XP right now. Happens on IE/XP also.

I usually use a Mac with Safari, but am currently with a corporate laptop on business so I don't know if this is effecting Mac/Safari.

I have a fav place on my Firefox which takes me directly to the forum, logged on as in remember me etc.. and it gives me the 404. If I try to use the URL Cruisersforum.com I still get the 404.

The following seems to work at the moment:

http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums

logs in to sign on OK tried restarting Firefox and it seems to be OK for now.

Alright, I'll do some troubleshooting again when I wake up. I'll reupload all files make sure they are correct and check all the other important settings.
