Red Rover is a perfect boat for the Chesapeake Bay. With her shoal draft, 4’ 11” keel, most of the cruising areas on the Bay are within her reach. Her sail area-displacement ratio and displacement-length ratio allows her to sail on light air days when others turn to motoring. However, she is easily reefed when the wind picks up and can handle the windier days on the Bay as well. Upgrades to Red Rover include repowering with a Westerbeke 38B in 1999, replaced standing rigging in 2010 and installed VacuFlush marine toilet in 2013. A 10' Zodiac inflatable dinghy with 8 HP outboard is included.
