I am looking for to buy or rent a mooring in Parramatta river around the Abbotsford / Chiswick area.

Technically by the letter of our laws, a private mooring can only be occupied by the vessel that it is licensed to..... You might find someone wiling to let you use one, but maritime patrol or whatever they call themselves might decide to give you a hefty "invoice"...

We also have maximum time limits on specific anchorages, as well as a total time limit for anchoring in the state....

The only rentable moorings are marinas and yacht clubs..... Where the only limit is how many $$ you have to spend.
