Fair Winds "Capt Jack" Burleson... Write If You Find Work

Captain "Jack" Burleson, Boot Key Harbor's oldest live aboard has passed away quietly onboard his sailing vessel Fantasy at the age of 94.

Jack sailed into Boot Key harbor in 1956 where he promptly ripped the rudder off his boat. Jack wasn't worried, "I knew I was in paradise as long as the beer wasn't sold out". After 60 years in the harbor, Jack has moved along to greener pastures.

Let us know if there are sailboats in heaven Jack... Just don't tell me I am standing the mid-watch.

There will be a wake for Jack at the City Marina chickee hut on Sat Nov 19th at 5pm. (Jack would have been happy to explain why it's a chickee not a tiki.)

Fair winds to Jack, who sounds like a good bloke to me. I hope that the change of watch party is a proper tribute to him.
