What a fantastic finish Polux in such beautiful conditions

I am amazed how good the boat looks from the camera shots.

Yes from last interview it appears that Alex has conceded to Armel.
He is slower and not able to point as high, so is projected to need 2 more tacks.

What a wonderful display of extreme racing ...

I think both the spirit and personal challenges of the Vendee, transcends this national pissing contest.

If the Met analysis suggests that the Doldrums will expand...... that theoretically should still favor Armel to get thru the quickest

Since breaking the foil, Alex has been mostly sailing downwind

However when reaching on the broken foil tack, i assume he would be making a lot more leeway, especially on a close reach.

I am "routing" ([emoji57] ) for both of them as this is a real tactical challenge.

Advantage is still with Armel as his foils are undamaged.

However Alex can tactically fine tune from behind...

A random event such as colliding with a UFO is not a measurable issue in this sport

However, mast and rigging failures, structural damages due to heavy weather, are all a function of the design...
