Are you going to split between Cedros and Natividad? If the weather is up in the Dewey Channel there (off Point Eugenia) you will probably think you plotted wrong and ended up in San Francisco.

I spent about a month getting from Ensenada to Banderas Bay. I was waiting for "goldielocks" weather. A week in Turtle Bay, a few days in Santa Maria, a few days in Cabo San Lucas.

I totally agree with them that it's a small cyclone and the odds of it impacting them are near zero.

Current track models have it at 70%/80% chance of formation, crossing under Cabo and arching right into Mazatlan.

Be that as it may, if a meteorologist from NOAA says that something has a 60% chance of turning into a tropical cyclone and it's headed my way, I'm wimping out and hiding.

I don't want to run around like chicken little but a strong likelyhood of a cyclone that's moving in the direction of a fleet consisting of lots of sailboats is no bueno.
