Have you ever been on one.. my old Hurley22 was roomier.. and that had the same head room.. 54" :biggrin:

Based on your statements above the best all round boat for you is a Westerly Centaur..
Decent accommodation and good headroom.. tons of storage space under the salon berths and galley.. the option...

If you can live with the headroom.. I believe the plastic ones went to 5ft.. 6inches more than the original timber design.

If you do decide a Centaur is for you I suggest you sail locally for a while so you know her well and how she handles.
These have crossed the Atlantic, cruised the Caribe and returned.. but she...

Then think seriously about a boat that's already been mentioned.. the Westerly Centaur.
Yes its only 26ft and it has bilges keels but.. its designed for sailing in seas 50N and above.. has 6ft...
