We went through four (well, 2 new and 2 that I rebuilt) before switching to a twin disc..........and nowhere near overloaded.

Honestly if you tear it apart yourself, it's a worthwhile endeavour, but if it needs anything other than clutch discs and a gasket kit you're into it for near the...
