I've done this a hundred times.. I usually to for the 1GI north of the ruins... but it's a beat down to Sag usually.

The trip is quite easy if you have winds from anything but the eastern quadrants and a foul current. BI is about 10 miles from Montauk and so that's a few hrs. Getting in and out of Montauk in a hr...
